What is the difference between CBD Oils?
The fundamental and most significant difference between full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD, or cannabis oils, is that broad-spectrum oil contains no THC.

When is Full-Spectrum CBD Oil Not Recommended?
Although full-spectrum cannabis oils contain only small amounts of THC, there is no guarantee that testing won’t detect it. Therefore, full-spectrum oils are not recommended for those who undergo drug testing for work or other reasons. Full-spectrum cannabis oil is also not advisable for depression or mental disorders, as it can intensify negative episodes.
If you want to give THC-containing oil to your dog, keep in mind that their brains have many more CB1 receptors than ours, so they may react more sensitively to full-spectrum cannabis oil. Signs of THC overdose in dogs, as in humans, include either excessive excitement or, conversely, extreme lethargy.

When Not to Use CBD-Containing Products?
Do not use CBD oil if you are taking blood thinners! Exceptions include blood thinners containing edoxaban, heparin derivatives, and Aspirin Protect.
Using CBD with blood pressure medication can cause blood pressure to drop too low, so blood pressure should be monitored more frequently!
Cannabis products may enhance the side effects of antidepressants, antihistamines, painkillers, anti-anxiety medications, sedatives, heart medications, and muscle relaxants. It is not recommended to use CBD alongside these types of drugs.
Cannabis oil is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient data on the effects of cannabinoids on the fetus and infant.
Are There Registered Cannabis Medicines?
Yes, there are several medicines that contain THC and/or CBD active ingredients.
The Epidiolex contains exclusively CBD and is approved for treating seizures linked to two severe types of epilepsy – Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
The Marinol and Syndros contain dronabinol, a synthetic THC. These medicines are used during cancer treatment to relieve nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy.
Cesamet contains nabilone, a synthetic compound similar to THC. This medicine is used to treat weight loss and appetite problems related to chemotherapy and HIV/AIDS.
Sativex is a prescription medicine that contains a 1:1 mixture of THC and CBD. It is used to treat symptoms of multiple sclerosis (MS), particularly to alleviate spasticity and neuropathic pain. Sativex is designed for administration as a sublingual spray, absorbed through the mucous membrane inside the mouth.
It is important to mention that CBD oil is not a miracle cure! The cornerstones of maintaining good health are regular exercise, a balanced diet, and a stress-free lifestyle. CBD does not replace any of these! Always consult your doctor before using CBD!
