If you're about to buy CBD Oil and have already started searching, you know how many products are on the market and how expensive these preparations can be.
What justifies this high price?
Let's start at the beginning, where the process begins: the cultivation of the plant. Most CBD products are made from some variety of Sativa cannabis, which depending on the type and climate, can grow up to 4 meters tall outdoors and roughly 1.5-2 meters high when grown indoors.
Cannabis strains allowed for cultivation in the EU usually produce around 2.5-3% CBD content when grown in fields, and this CBD content can roughly double with indoor cultivation where light and water supply can be optimized.
Either way, a massive amount of green plant material must be processed to extract a small amount of CBD, and this comes with significant costs. Harvesting cannabis is complicated—and thus more expensive—because the freshly cut green stalk ends need to be transported within 2 hours to a well-ventilated, dry place; otherwise, the flower buds, which form the base of CBD Oils, will get moldy. Drying is done using industrial dryers powered by gas or electricity, or by stacking the plants into cones right in the field, as has been done for centuries. Both methods require a considerable investment of energy and labor.

The raw extract is most commonly produced using CO2 or ethanol extraction methods. This is where the cost significantly increases, as both methods require specialized expertise and expensive equipment. The raw cannabis extract must be purified from impurities and standardized, which means the final CBD concentration has to be set—meaning each unit of oil must contain a specified amount of CBD. These multi-step procedures are costly, requiring specialized machinery, which further drives up production costs.

So, it’s a long and costly journey from the sowed hemp seed to the finished CBD Oil, and naturally, this is reflected in the product prices. Producing premium quality CBD Oil requires carefully cultivated raw materials, state-of-the-art extraction technology, laboratory testing, and strict quality control. All of these are factors that considerably increase production costs.
On top of this comes the profit margin of the commercial supply chain players. The more middlemen involved in sales, the higher the final retail price. It’s not uncommon for the same amount of CBD active ingredient to cost one and a half to twice as much in another brand’s product than in a similar full-spectrum CANNADOLTM CBD Oil.
How is this possible?
The majority of CBD Oils available in Hungary are imported and pass through several commercial intermediaries before reaching the buyer. Each middleman adds their own markup, often between 50–100%, or even higher. Ultimately, the consumer pays not only for the product but also for the entire distribution chain’s costs.
With CANNADOLTM, however, the situation is different. We work directly with the manufacturer and produce our products based on our own specifications, eliminating the need for multiple intermediary markups. Thanks to this, our customers can access premium quality, laboratory-tested, full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD Oils at exceptionally favorable prices.
So, the question isn’t just how much a CBD Oil costs, but what you get for your money. With CANNADOLTM CBD Oils, the high active ingredient content, strict quality control, independent laboratory certificates, and direct manufacturer pricing together ensure you choose a product with excellent value for money. If quality, reliability, and good price matter to you, choose from the CANNADOLTM CBD product range!
